A Year Breaks

No!
You won't be seeing 'Photo of the Year' from me today. There, I'm glad I have that out of the way.

Here are a few things I plan to do in 2014.
*"Know thyself." The Greeks had it right.
*Wear a kilt.
*Work hard.
*Photograph my world.
*Enjoy family hard.
*See friends more.
*Retire.
*Cook a bit.
*Write more.
*Take a trip.
*Make a new friend.
*Be a better person.
*Touch the future.
*Celebrate life.

  1. That is a loooooooong list, and I'd love to have you check in occasionally on the progress of each one. "Retired" intrigues me and I recommend it! Retirement Rocks!
May 2014 bring you much happiness and love.

  2. Will we see a photo with you in a kilt? You'll have the bag over your head, of course. :-) Happy New Year, Birdman!

  4. Even if I don't much like being in a cold and icy place, I do admire your photograph today. You have a good list. It will be interesting to see how you progress. I don't make lists. If I did, it would have one item. "Take it as it comes."

  5. This kilt seems to be a great idea, especially if you don't mind making a female as the "new friend"! :o)
    Happy New Year!

  8. Great goals. I'd wait 'til summer to wear the kilt. LOL

  11. If'n you can do all those things, you'll probably end up a better person. I didn't see "Move to Florida" on the list, though.

Also, if'n you do wear a kilt, please do NOT post a picture of yerself. OK?

Another beauty of a winter photo!

  17. Well, this photo will certainly do even if you decline to chose one. Retire? At last? Think of all the adventures you will have.

  18. Birdman, you are making me wish for snow! Lovely shots of the great white, frozen water.

  19. What a GREAT photo! Looks like a beam of light streaking down on the right to illuminate a red tree . . . balancing that reddish wood on the left. . . and what's that spot of yellow on the left . . . and those icy snow-coated trees are gorgeous. We have them too. And are you really going to retire this year??

  20. Thank you for the NY wishes, Birdman. I wish them back to you. We are in the midst of a hot summer right now, so the least said by me the better.

  21. Retire...that's a good one but hard to handle in the beginning. Don't know if it was the busy life of working 6 to 7 days at 10 to 12 hour days or just the friends and comrades I had gained during my years of working. If you put it in motion give it time and enjoy...it does become a great thing.
